B Shed, Victoria Quay, Fremantle
The quayside, heritage B Shed on Fremantle Harbour will ring with maritime sounds that have been gathered by Curran around the world over the past 40 years. a rich collage of harbour sounds, foghorns and music this ongoing project and signature work began in the middle ‘70s has taken many forms. From choreographed lake concerts featuring musicians in row boats to live ship horn concerts in large city ports, to large scale ship horn installations on rivers and lakes, to structured improvisations in/on/over rivers, to the 10 concerts produced for National Public Radio in 1984.
This first ever live performance by Curran using will create a unique maritime event culminating in a live sail by with live band.
